Each holiday season, The Salvation Army engages in the tradition of "staffing the kettles" to promote the plight of the needy in San Diego. This practice is critical to The Salvation Army, as the money it raises supports our programs for the rest of the year.
At Christmas, needy families receive food and toys for their children. The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center assists over 3,000 people at Christmas.
